The Sustainability Committee meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 6-7:30 at SEUL. We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of the entire Sunnyside Neighborhood by helping residents reduce their fossil fuel consumption.
Why are we doing this? Because our planet’s air, water and land are being degraded by the pollution generated from burning fossil fuels. Because carbon dioxide, which is generated from the burning of fossil fuels is a major component linked to the rapid overheating of our Planet. Because present rates of fossil fuel consumption are not sustainable. Because the future of Sunnyside Neighborhood, Oregon and Earth depends on it.
