Special Bylaws Membership Meeting: April 17

Hello Sunnyside Neighbors!

At our March 9th meeting, the SNA board referred amended bylaws to the General Membership for ratification.

We will have a General Membership Meeting to vote on bylaws on Monday, April 17th, 2017 from 7-8PM at the dining hall of the Sunnyside Community House at 3520 SE Yamhill St.

In order to amend our bylaws, we must have a General Membership meeting with a quorum of 20 eligible residents (anyone 18+ who lives in Sunnyside [rent or own], owns property in Sunnyside, or is a designated representative of a church, school, or business, can vote).  A 2/3 vote of approval is required.  If approved, the bylaws will go into effect in June 2017.

The proposed bylaws and details on the process can be found at this location.

An agenda for the meeting can be viewed here.

Questions and comments can be sent to [email protected].

No Hate Resolution

Hello, Neighbors –

We want our neighbors to feel safe and accepted in our great neighborhood, so last night the Sunnyside Neighborhood Board voted unanimously to support a No Hate Resolution that includes a statement of inclusivity along with an action geared toward learning ways to support our neighbors who may identify with a marginalized community.

Follow the link below to see the full resolution language. If there are certain community advocacy groups that the Board could invite to come share strategies/resources, feel free to suggest.
