An Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) is a small, self-contained dwelling that shares the site of a larger single-unit home. For demographic, affordability, and environmental reasons, specific suggestions (See Enhanced Housing Choices letter here) have been proposed that urge the City to amend land use code in favor of expanding smaller sized housing choices in residential zones.
