Thur. May 12th, 2016 – 6:30pm SNA LUTC MEETING AGENDA

Special Location: Sunnyside Community House / 3520 SE Yamhill St.

Several timely topics up for updates and discussion at our next meeting:

– 522 SE Peacock Lane: Property just purchased by Vancouver, WA registered business. Plans announced are for a lot split and Vic Remmers to build 25 foot wide skinny house on the historic lane.
– 3334 SE Belmont St.: Preliminary plans call for demolition and new 3-story construction. Property has been removed from Historic Resource Inventory by owner – speeding up demo process.
– 4335 SE Belmont: Three houses soon to be demolished for ≈70 units. We’ll try to present any revisions to the project since presented last.
– 3423 SE Hawthorne: Permit issued. Not much to update. Watch for 55 foot high building going up.
– Laurelhurst Village, Stark St.: Update on New Memory Care Center after demolition of existing buildings.

We’ll update in brief Mixed Use Zones project, Residential Infill Advisory Committee, Comp Plan and various Sunnyside project updates.

Thur. March 10th, 2016 – 6:30pm SNA LUTC MEETING AGENDA

We’ll discuss the proposed development at 3334 SE Belmont St.  Several guests will participate, including:
– petitioners concerned about the demolition of the existing structure
– City of Portland Planning and Historic Preservation staff

We’ll also update other land use issues.

Thur. December 10th, 2015 – SNA LUTC MEETING AGENDA

 – Zoning update: numerous residential properties rezoned as part of 1980 Comprehensive Plan were never actually rezoned!  City reps will talk about plans to actually rezone them now.  According to Portland’s Bureau of Planning and Sustainability:

The purpose of the December 10th meeting is both one of 1) public education that there are areas in Sunnyside today where the existing zoning differs from the current comprehensive plan map adopted in 1980; and 2) to share the evaluation criteria BPS staff is using to determine if a zone change is warranted at this time and to ask of Sunnyside if any criteria is missing in the evaluation.
